My Pet's Obituary

Who among us has not lost one or more beloved pets? If that person exists, their life must be pale and lacking in love. Our pets, no matter what species and breed provide us with wonderful emotional ties. They can show amazing depths of intelligence and they all respond to our love and care within the limits of their species. If you've lost a pet to accident, illness, or old age, we encourage you to upload a favorite picture and a paragraph or two telling about your experience and giving some details about your pet.

An e-mail which has been making the rounds says a lot about our pets. A family's beloved golden retriever was dying of cancer. The dog had been with the family longer then their 5 year old son. The decision was made to put the dog down. The family gathered around him one last time and the vet attempted to speak some comforting words. The adults were shocked when the little boy said, "I know why dogs don't live very long." They asked the child why and he said, "God puts us here to learn to love each other and dogs already know all about that, so they don't have to stay as long as people."

This site is dedicated to our beloved pets who are now gone. Humans inevitably go through a period of grieving over lost pets. Ultimately, our pets enrich our lives immensely and the memories we have of them are what this site is all about.

You may register and post a picture and a brief obituary of your pet(s) so that other owners who have lost pets can see that they’re not alone. Registration and posting are free. Registration is required in order to insure that the site doesn’t get cluttered with spam.
